Student Spotlight
Here's what Juliana has to say about coming to WWU from a homeschool background:
“The thing I have enjoyed about WWU the most is how many friends I have been able to meet here. As a homeschooler, I had many friends, but coming to college has opened my horizons to even more people who have sincerely enriched my life.”
Explore your future:
One of the best ways to explore your future is to schedule a campus visit. Juniors or seniors, and their families, find it especially helpful to experience life at WWU firsthand. Visiting can help you make an informed decision about your future, and will set you up for success here at WWU.
Our guests rave about their visits to WWU, and we offer financial assistance to help you with travel and lodging costs
Individual campus visits are available year-round, either in person or online. You’ll enjoy a personalized experience where you can meet with professors in your areas of interest, tour our campus, connect with Student Financial Services to learn about scholarships and funding, and maybe sit in on a class or two.
U-Days visits are a great way to immerse yourself in WWU’s college life, along with other prospective students from across the country. Offered in March and April, these visits feature engaging activities and opportunities to explore your areas of interest.
Steps to enrollment:
Your enrollment application kicks off an exciting process that includes exploring scholarships and financial aid, holding your spot in classes, arranging your lodging and more. Your dedicated WWU recruiter is an excellent resource, and our Steps to Enrollment check sheet is a convenient way to track your progress.
About admissions and scholarships:
Students who graduate from accredited homeschools- Generally speaking, your academic transcript and curriculum are from an organization outside of your home — should submit an enrollment application and provide academic transcripts (sixth semester or later). Students should meet published minimum GPA requirements for admissions, and they are eligible to receive merit awards based on either their cumulative GPA or ACT/SAT test scores. Visit our scholarship web page to learn more about merit awards.
Students who graduate from an alternative homeschool program- Academic transcripts and curriculum are not provided through an external organization — will be admitted based on their successful adherence to their home state’s graduation requirements. Students should submit an enrollment application and provide academic transcripts (sixth semester or later) to be reviewed for adherence to state requirements. Students should meet minimum GPA requirements for admissions, and they are eligible to receive merit awards based on ACT/SAT test scores. Visit our scholarship web page to learn more about merit awards.
Are you working towards your GED, dual enrollment, direct transfer agreement, or running start? Please reach out to the office of admissions and we will help you through the steps at admissions@cccbang.com.
